lawrence, my in-laws flew into san francisco for a beautiful weekend and it's raining. >> we are seeing tremendous amounts of rain around the bay area and some places getting near 8" of rain and we may go through that in the santa cruz mountains. the heaviest rainfall is shifting further south. you can see still strong cells moving on through. livermore toward pleasanton where you saw some of the flooding early on. still looking at some strong storms and flash floodwatch in effect. urban and small stream flood advisory in most of the bay area until 2:30 in the afternoon. could still see a rise in many of the creeks and local streams. we are expecting the russian river to crest monday slightly below flood stage a food or two below but if the forecasts are wrong for the rainfall that could easily go above flood stage. we'll have to watch it that closely. outside ominous skies there and the accident it looks like more rain in the afternoon although it will taper off toward showers still breezy. more scattered showers through saturday. storm three night into sunday and more rain could cause
